In depth

Verdict

Recent Southwell all-weather winner Nightwatchman has more to do off a 2lb higher mark back on turf here and may not represent value at the forecast odds. More solid claims are held by Mark Johnston's Affray. A winner at Bath over 1m3f last month, the son of Affirmed lost little in defeat at Carlisle last time. However, the step up in trip is not certain to suit. The distance is not a problem for Irie Rasta though, having won over the trip at Goodwood last month. With Kevin Darley booked he should take plenty of beating.
