With 18 runners set to line up for this 1m4f handicap, this is not the easiest of races for backers to solve. Among those with claims are the topweight Elgria, who has a 5lb penalty to carry for his win at Folkestone last week, all-weather winner Belle Rouge, who can race off a 5lb lower mark back on turf and Mary Reveley's Bhutan, who has found one too good in each of his last two starts. He should again be thereabouts. With the likes of recent Newmarket winner Love Bitten (Elgria behind) and Sharp Spice, for who Kieren Fallon is an interesting booking, also in the line up this is a race to be treated with caution.
