Verdict

Woodford County has been placed in the Eider and the Midlands National in his last two starts and has been eased slightly in the weights. But he's had some hard races this term and they may have left their mark. Ziga Boy's jumping remains a concern and he found nothing for pressure when only fourth at Sandown last time but Sue Smith's pair Lackamon and PINEROLO are both interesting with the latter starting to look very well handicapped and helped further by Jonathan England's claim. He won't be stopping up the straight and is preferred to Chepstow winner Buachaill Alainn, though Peter Bowen's charge is still nicely treated on his best form. Fourovakind will enjoy the ground and may yet develop into a useful stayer so is preferred to Beforeall and veteran Incentivise of the remainder.
