This looks to lie between Itsuptoharry, Nice Try and Vicario, with the selection being Vicario. Given that the better-fancied of Ginger McCain's runners - based on jockey bookings - is Vicario, we will side with him. Much as he was ultimately well held here last time over a two-furlong longer trip, he had shown enough when winning at Sedgefield the time before to be considered a player today. Stable companion Itsuptoharry would have a chance based on his second to the progressive Another Native over course and distance three runs ago, but his last two efforts have been disappointing. After beating Smeathe's Ridge at Warwick, Nice Try ran pretty well before falling last time at Wincanton and has to come in to the reckoning. The others need to find improvement if they are to feature which, in turn, spins us back to the selection, which is Vicario.
