Val de Lobo is a tough filly and she is fancied to cope with top weight in this company - Topflight Wildbird and Elopment are forwarded as the main dangers, while Jeu d'Esprit was unlucky to run into an in-form rival last time out and she too may have a bit more to offer. This faster ground may not be ideal for the last named, though. Elopment got no sort of run at Windsor on Monday and can be forgiven that effort. She does, however, need to step things up a couple of gears and her supporters need to be wary about taking too-short-a-price. Topflight Wildbird has been holding her own at this sort of level and, as she is versatile regarding the ground, she has to merit respect. Her last two starts have been encouraging and she can give the selection the most to do. However, this looks a slightly easier task for Val de Lobo than she faced last time out and, as she has the best strike-rate amongst this lot, she has little to do if she is going to prove that she is the best horse in the race.
