Famille Rose was easy to back at Leicester but stayed on strongly in the closing stages and was only beaten half-a-length. The winner was trained by Clive Cox, however, so the Lambourn handler should have a good idea where he stands with KOHINOOR. She was fancied on debut at Goodwood but got trapped behind horses and the winner had flown by the time she extricated herself. Love Baileys is preferred to May She Shine of the two Fahey newcomers as she is sprint-bred, though her dam preferred fast ground so Red Fascinator and Whatitizz are more interesting debutantes.
