In depth

Verdict

Touch Of Ivory is the pick over Greyside and Archimboldo in the opener. Touch Of Ivory was a bit keen early on during her hurdling debut at Perth in September, but Peter Monteith's filly warmed to her task as the race unfolded, running out an easy winner in the end. She has since been beaten on a return to the Flat at Ayr just five days ago, but that was over seven furlongs and will have served to sharpen her up for today's task. With ground to suit and little to beat, she should make a bold bid under 7lb claimer David Da Silva. Greyside scraped home on his timber bow at Kelso and will need to improve more with his penalty, while Archimboldo has more experience than the rest but will do well to give weight to the selection. All in all, this looks a splendid opportunity for Touch Of Ivory to progress.
