Verdict

NEWSTEAD ABBEY went very close on his racecourse debut when runner-up at York. The third horse has subsequently won and David Brown's charge is preferred to Master Of War. The latter wasn't disgraced when fifth at over C&D on his introduction and he in turn makes more appeal than recent Windsor third Fantacise. Dreamily, a half-sister to a Group 2 winner and the 110,000gns Godolphin colt Requested are both worth noting for any significant support in the betting on their debuts.
