        Verdict

        Five of these are course and distance winners with last year's winner Mi Capricho unbeaten in two starts on the track. He looked on the way back to form at Ayr last time when Under Fox just failed to make all. Three-times track winner Flying Moon looks better over 1m2f on faster ground these days while another front-runner, Alpha Cru, has been struggling from this sort of mark. Shaladar went up 4lb for winning here last month and has been unable to cope but Golden Sands had been in good form before running a shocker at Ripon. SMART CONTENDER has steadily improved with each run and the Crisfords look to have found an opportunity for him to make a successful handicap debut.
