Tony Martin has been scooping up prizes all over the place recently including at Newmarket, where QUICK JACK beat the odds-on Nautilus over this trip. He didn't really have the form to do so but such is the stable's form at present that he won with a bit in hand and a penalty shouldn't prevent a follow-up, especially with his rider's claim to aid his cause. Bayan Kasirga gained her first success on ground with some give at Thirsk but had shown improvement on quick going on her two previous starts. She's up 7lb but had run well off similar marks last year so looks a big threat. A Southside Boy has run here three times and won them all. He almost defied a 5lb rise and better company on his latest start at Ayr and won't go down without a battle. The consistent St Ignatius will like the fast ground better than most and can make his presence felt.
