Oldenway, who comes here fit and will be ridden by Kevin Darley, looks the answer to this mile-and-a-half handicap. Raised only two pounds for his Nottingham win on April 1 - and the second in that race has won since - he can follow up. Intricate Web comes here fit and will be trying this trip for only the second time. It could well suit so don't be surprised to see him go well. Each of Mana d'Argent's four victories have come at Ascot (three of them over two miles) so he might just set the race up for one of the others. Sun Bird won Haydock's Old Newton Cup in 2002 from a mark of 77 (now rated 82) and is entitled to be competitive although lack of a run this season could well count against him. Kid'Z'Play is the only course winner in the race, is back on a winning mark but might prefer ease in the going these days. Silent Memory is racing from 12lbs out of the handicap.
