    Verdict

Godolphin rode in to purchase CHESSPIECE following his victory in a decent handicap at York and he was far from disgraced when finishing third to Gregory in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot. He was ahead of Circle of Fire on that occasion and should be capable of confirming the form. Salt Bay ran in the Grand Criterium last season but was to weaken quickly on her reappearance at Newmarket. Sea Of Roses finished eighth in the Oaks having attempted to make the running and has been highly tried this term with appearances in the Musidora and the Ribblesdale. Crackovia is officially rated some way inferior to today’s rivals and will be priced accordingly.
