    Verdict

    Dark Defender landed a double over 6f earlier in the year but is not certain to appreciate this drop back in distance. Ayresome Angel ran well on his handicap bow at York but was below par at Beverley recently so ENCANTAR makes more appeal. He was outmatched behind Tasleet in a sales race on the Knavesmire last time but won a handicap at Carlisle before that and is preferred to stablemate Danzeb and Searanger.
