Astrodome is selected in preference to Next Of Kin, Kyber and Lisbon Lion. The last named is nicely weighted for a race of this nature and appears to be getting the hang of the racing game. Tim Vaughan¿s charge has scope to improve from his current mark and is one to bear in mind for place betting. Kyber has been in good heart and comes here on the crest of a wave after landing a third win of the season at Musselburgh last week. It remains to be seen if he can reproduce the goods away from Edinburgh in this tougher handicap, though. Next Of Kin had been progressive before struggling on heavy ground at Haydock eight days ago (he finished well behind Lisbon Lion). However, he drops to his most appropriate trip today and cannot be discounted. However, Astrodome is taking everything in his stride just now and, having dished out a solid beating to a 70-rated rival here last time; Sir Mark Prescott's charge has obvious claims in a race where the top weighted runner is on a mark of just 65.
