Widow Bird is stepped up an extra furlong and if Richard Hughes can bring out the best in her she may be interesting on her first start in a handicap. Emerald Glade is in great form but a 9lb rise in the weights since her last win is harsh and it may pay to side with TOBERNEA. After a winning run on handicap debut at Ayr last time and with middle-distance pedigree on the dam's side, the step-up in trip may even bring out more improvement and Mark Johnston has a 21% strike-rate here this year. Plan A should put in another good run after winning last time and has to be respected.
