In depth

Verdict

Alphabeth could be too good for her rivals in this nursery and is taken to win at the expense of Kheylide and Taazar. The selection carries a penalty for winning at Nottingham last time out and that was her second win of the season. She could be potentially well in with the handicapper and as connections have decided to run with a penalty she is a filly to stay on the right side of. Kheylide is the other horse in the race to run with a penalty having won at Lingfield last week. He was taking a drop in grade though that day and he would need to improve further to trouble the judge this time around. Taazar runs in a first time handicap off a mark of 73 after three moderate performances. It will be interesting to see if there are any market moves for him but on the evidence of his first three runs he doesn¿t look much. So for the winner we return to Alphabeth.
