Little strength in depth and Ashgar Sayyad looks to have been found a good opportunity to open his account in a race that won't take much winning. Mick Channon's charge was a useful juvenile and was fourth, beaten only four lengths, behind Sir George Turner off level weights in the Tattersalls Houghton Sales at Newmarket in October. The son of Kingmambo was disappointing on his return at the same venue last month but may still prove too strong in this company with the visors fitted for the first time. Newcomer Beamish Prince would not have to be out of the ordinary to figure in the finish while Littleton Bounty has shown some ability and rates a threat but the free running Monksford may not be suited by the step up in trip on this stiff track.
