Verdict

A cracking little race in prospect and it may pay to give St Pancras the benefit of the doubt over this trip to get the better of the likely favourite Gala Sunday. Millagros and Roskilde are respected but need to put in vastly improved performances to come out on top today. Therefore, St Pancras is the sporting selection to win the day here. The Neville Callaghan-trained colt ran as if he was in need of something like this trip on his belated reappearance in a warm conditions event at Yarmouth earlier in the month and will surely strip fitter for the outing now. The fact that Callaghan also owns a half share in the son of Danhill Dancer is a solid indication that the trip will not be a problem for him and he is taken to edge out Gala Sunday in a tight finish.
