Rathbone won under today’s apprentice at Thirsk with Commanche Falls back in fourth. The former’s stablemate Magical Spirit posted a better effort at Newcastle last time with a below par Staxton behind while Meraas finished last of three in a conditions race at Haydock though is still preferred to stable companion Desert Safari. MR WAGYU (NAP) has been in fine form having already won four times this year. He just missed out off today’s mark at York last week and another bold bid is expected from John Quinn’s charge in this.
