In depth

Verdict

Naughty Ana, yet to get off the mark in seven runs, is getting closer and this could be her day despite up 3lb for a recent narrow defeat at Catterick. She faces different conditions here but is already proven on a quicker surface. The 11lb she receives from CAPTAIN VALLO (NAP) may prove decisive but the Makin gelding ran a good race of his own last week at Carlisle, staying on to good effect and appeals as one with further potential to unlock. It's not a two-horse affair by any means as Ireland's Eye showed plenty more on handicap debut at Doncaster and should be in the mix off an unchanged mark, with the lightly-raced Three Hat Day a possible too.
