Ripon winner Bartle Hall didn’t reproduce that form on good to soft going at Thirsk next time and she’ll do well to defy her penalty here. Richard Fahey’s Defence Treaty is an interesting newcomer as he’s a brother to a 6f all-weather winner but there was plenty pf promise in the debuts of Autumn Flight and FRIENDLY ADVICE. The former missed the break at Catterick so did well to finish second but the latter has a cracking pedigree for sprinting and was very green at Musselburgh, despite finishing a close-up third.
