Verdict
It could pay to take a chance on MR WOLF who gets the narrow vote over Angelo Poliziano and Hotham. The selection is well drawn tonight which is a big plus for a confirmed front-runner. He got taken on for the lead at Pontefract last time which could be an excuse for a below-par effort and he could be worth another chance here. Angelo Poliziano won last time at Newcastle but he has a 6lbs penalty for that success this evening and that could leave him vulnerable. Hotham just got his head in front in the dying strides at Pontefract last time and off his current mark he should again be capable of getting competitive. Trainer Ruth Carr has enjoyed a fantastic season so course and distance scorer Sunley Sovereign is another who can go well, but MR WOLF could get the run of the race and he is put forward as our pick.
