Glenveagh returns from some time off but he should be good enough to win at this level; Mensadil and Saafend Geezer make it to the shortlist. The selection has been off the track for 328 days but he had previously shown good form in two maidens. He wasn't an expensive purchase by any means but this son of Catcher In The Rye should have enough to see these off assuming he is semi-fit. Johnston's Glory is officially the best horse in the line-up but that doesn't say much, whilst Saafend Geezer is yet to win in nine starts and has never looked likely to. Mensadil is quickly dropped in grade; Linda Stubbs' three-year-old showed nothing on debut but if he has learnt from the run then he could show up well here. Gelert ran a fair race two runs back and should appreciate the return to the minimum trip; he looks the only other danger but we are happy to return to Glenveagh as the selection.
