Verdict

Archie Watson’s two-year-olds have a much better strike rate on the all-weather surfaces so far this year but the newcomer Better The Devil is still worth a second glance and Bubbly Splash comes from a family of decent sprinters. But SPRING BLOOM has the form in the book when finding only one too good at Leicester on his debut and Karl Burke’s colt gets the vote to come out best with normal progress. Birdie Bowers went close at Beverley before disappointing at Thirsk while Pearlwood is a likely improver and preferred to stablemate Naseeb.
