In depth

Verdict

EVERKYLLACHY just got the better of Boundsy in an apprentices’ race over track and trip last week. She not only escapes a penalty for this but can effectively race off a lower mark having switched apprentice riders and can go in again. Wrenthorpe has won in soft going and drops down a grade along with Followthesteps but Johnny Cavagin is best on a faster surface. Samovar saves his best for Southwell though has a shout on last year’s win at Nottingham while jockey bookings take the eye for both Van Gerwen and Music Society and we may see better efforts from that pair today.
