        Verdict

        SPIRIT OF A NATION finished runner-up at Musselburgh on Thursday on his return to the Flat. He looks up to going one better in this company as Jeu De Vivre arrives in poor form. The latter did win over C&D in September however, with Getabuzz and Jonny Delta both behind, and would go close if back in the groove while Persian Peril would also make his presence felt if reproducing his best efforts. Hong Kong Island is a victim of his own consistency as he continues to rise in the weights without winning.
