In depth

Verdict

Baltic Princess looks a good thing here to beat Minthare and Orange Stravinsky. Mark Johnston's filly has been steadily coming to hand and ran a blinder last time when runner up behind Scotland Yard at Ripon. Ground and trip are in her favour again and she should go one better this afternoon. Minthare has also been knocking on the door and a recent second behind Riodan here looks fair enough form in the context of this event. Orange Stravinsky is a Michael Stoute cast off that hasn't lived up to his illustrious pedigree. However he is now with a very shrewd yard so watch the market for any clues. Top-weight entrance may prove best of the remainder, but our confident choice here is Baltic Princess.
