Always Best receives the tentative nod ahead of Caviar Heights and Kentucky Boy. The selection had disappointed in a visor but that experiment has been brought to a close and he could be worth another try on ground that he has acted on in the past. Caviar Heights is not an obvious candidate but he has to be respected from the Linda Perrett stable. He was not disgraced at big odds on his latest start and could be a player if the headgear works for a second time. Kentucky Boy is modest but unexposed. Handicapped over shorter, he acts as if this trip is within his compass. Amanda Carter has progressed well in recent weeks and hails from an in-form yard. She has done most of her racing on fast going so the market is watched in order to see if connections believe she will act on today's surface. Marquee has been pulled out of other assignments so he is noted if taking his chance here. Patavian obliged in maiden company at this track although he is not the greatest of finishers. Always Best could be worth another chance at the likely odds and is afforded as our selection.
