Dispol Veleta is narrowly preferred to Dark Charm and Jordans Elect. The six-year-old likes to get her toe in and having struggled somewhat on a faster surface, the handicapper looks to have given her a chance of obliging off today's mark. Dark Charm has the ability to win this although is prone to pull hard in the early stages. He almost stole a boys race at Haydock though this is much more difficult as assignments go. Jordan's Elect is classy enough to go close but would not want to see anymore rain between now and post time. Leprechaun's Gold is modest although as a son of Spectrum, he is worth a try on the likely going. The Mighty Ogmore finished second at big odds at Pontefract on his latest start so the bookies are unlikely to be so generous this afternoon. Mayadeen is unproven on anything other than fast ground so has questions to answer. Dispol Veleta has matters in her favour and is the confident selection.
