There is always the danger that the market will overreact to Loyal Tycoon's victory at Catterick last week and he may just start at very cramped odds. However, he does have arguably the best recent form on offer and will be hard to beat if he can finish in with the same force over this stiff up-hill climax. The step up to six furlongs should not be a problem and he gets the TEAMtalk vote, despite the likelihood of a short price. Friar Tuck has gone well here in the past but consistency is not his strong point and he is on a long losing run that stretches back just over two years. J M W Turner is another who finds himself dropping in the weights after some poor efforts of late and seems to be in here because of his restrictive rating for handicaps. Little Bittydancer and Las Ramblas have little if any chance. So My Man Friday, who should have very little problems with the track, could be the surprise package for the forecast.
