A fair race in which Dominica, Bali Royal and Ego all possess solid chances on the formbook. Dominica ran above herself in the Nunthorpe last time out and having finished fourth to Choisir at Royal Ascot - we will chance her in this weaker contest. Bali Royal is nothing but game and would be a popular winner. She finished second to then stable companion, The Tatling at Sandown and has subsequently finished second to The Trader at Newmarket. Ego has been something of a disappointment this term given the impression she created on her first racecourse starts. The official figures suggest that she has dropped some 7lb in her performances this term and will need to produce a career best to take today's prize. Proud Boast is in good heart at the moment and would have a chance if reproducing an earlier third in a listed contest at Kempton Park (Vita Spericolata behind.) With the majority of the field having to find significantly more to trouble the judge, we will side with the in-form Andrew Balding and plump for Dominica to land the showpiece event.
