PHILLY SPECIAL was returning from a lay-off when a disappointing beaten favourite here last month, though that was a better race than this and she could have just needed the run. Her previous third-placed effort would be good enough for this and she holds Chouchou De Boo on that last run. Polished Copper has been well supported on several occasions but showed little until a much better run last time though Maries Melody is better drawn. However, the latter is returning from a break and may do better next time and Lake Parima appears more of a threat. Christophe Clement's filly has looked inexperienced on both starts and is the type to do much better.
