In depth

Verdict

Almajd can win on his seasonal reappearance at the expense of Dauberval and Gasper Van Wittel. The selection showed promise to win on his debut last season at Newmarket and was then thrown straight in the deep end at Newbury thereafter when fifth to Beacon Lodge against Group 3 company. He was then turned away and as he looked a big backward type he should develop into a nice three year old so is worth staying on the right side of. Dauberval is yet to be seen this year also but showed signs of ability against Listed company at Goodwood on his last outing and could be anything this year. While Gasper Van Wittel looks a little exposed on what he has achieved so far and would need to improve to be troubling the judge. So for the winner we return to Almajd.
