IVORY SILK can take this at the principal expense of Glencalvie and Southandwest. Jeremy Gask's yard had been out of form for some time but the daughter of Diktat won a shade comfortably here last time out and while the handicapper has penalised accordingly, at the likely odds she makes plenty of appeal. Glencalvie's consistency mean that he has to produce a career best to win this. He has not been on the course since August so the market should offer us most clues. Southandwest is handicapped to win this contest. His two recent runs at Kempton have suggested that he might not be that far away. Temple Of Thebes is not the easiest of rides though is not devoid of ability. First Order was practically given away at the sales this autumn to Ann Stokell and in fairness, the owner-rider almost saw a return on investment at Wolverhampton. Asian Power and Epic Odyssey are on losing runs. Ivory Silk gets the vote.
