Several runners have the obligatory three qualifying runs under their belts and so it looks a real minefield; we will take a chance on HALAAK ahead of Newlyn Art and Speak The Truth. The selection is returning from a three month break today and was last seen finishing down the field at Kempton. She is now ridden by Martin Dwyer for the first time and although it is speculative, any market moves would make her of interest as she can only improve. Speak The Truth has more experience than a few of these and Jim Boyle's gelding put in two fair enough efforts when last seen in July. Clerical and Blackwater Fort have both hit the frame in the past, Turn To Dreams needs watching in the betting from a shrewd yard, whilst Golden Pool ran her best race to date last time at Kempton on her all-weather debut and she shouldn't be far away, having been well-backed last time out. Imaginary Diva is consistent, but ultimately tends to find at least one too good. Not a race to rush to the track for, but preference is for Halaak.
