A modest handicap in which LADY SONIA is preferred. Andrew Slattery has partnered her the last four times at distances varying between 6f and 1m. Her best performance was unquestionably delivered over 7f on good to firm ground when runner-up in a large-field handicap at Fairyhouse - the forecast conditions she faces here. Her latest run when a fair sixth at the same track over 6f also confirmed the belief that this additional furlong will suit. Iron Blue has a claim on one piece of form here last term and it will be interesting to see if Vocal Relation is suited by 7f - his three runs to date having been twice over 5f and once over 1m. Talk Now is on a fair mark and both Piper Bomb and Natty Dresser have finished close enough on recent starts to suggest they can take a hand now.
