Of the 18 runners, all but four are trained by either Willie Mullins or Gordon Elliott. The latter won the race last year with Monbeg Notorious, who followed up in a Grade 2 and ended the campaign finishing runner-up in the Champion Novice Chase at Punchestown. He's 15lb higher than a year ago but could still prove best of his trainer's entries. INVITATION ONLY looks to have been prepared for this by the champion trainer and Ruby rides. His close third behind Monalee in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown a year ago was an excellent effort and he'll have come on markedly for his reappearance at Tramore when looking in need of the run. Some Neck hasn't had much experience so it was a fine effort to beat Blow By Blow in a Grade 2 at Punchestown last time. Surprisingly, given the fact his father has eight runners, Patrick is on board Mall Dini for Pat Kelly but he rode him into a close second in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham so must have wanted to keep the partnership intact.
