Verdict

Laurina makes her long awaited debut over fences having won six of her seven starts over hurdles since joining Willie Mullins. She was nowhere near her best in the Champion Hurdle on her latest start but will be ready for this and the mares' allowance is a bonus. However, MINELLA INDO has been just as impressive over hurdles, gaining a shock victory in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham before landing another Grade 1 at the Punchestown festival when School Boy Hours pulled up. A winner between the flags, he looks more of a chasing type and can beat the likely favourite. The latter's stable companion Small Farm, another winning point-to-pointer, is one to keep an eye on.
