Golden Spangle showed little in her first campaign but it was a different matter when she returned to action at the Curragh on Sunday where she stayed on strongly to be beaten less than two lengths in a huge field over 6f on heavy ground. She could get off the mark with a similar effort though she's drawn on the wide outside, which is no help. SUMMER SNOW was beaten a short-head in a course and distance nursery on soft going in October and her trainer will have her ready. Happenstance improved with every run last season, culminating in a nursery victory over the trip at Dundalk, and she's only 3lb higher. Cherry Pink ran much better on the latter track in February and is on the shortlist.
