Verdict

Chantilly, who is related to several smart winners, showed very good speed at the Curragh last month after stumbling at the start and is likely to improve markedly. But TARAJ didn't get the run of the race in what looked a strong maiden on the same track and the son of Churchill can get off the mark. He holds Natural Ruler on that form but Surfers Paradise attempted to make all over 1m1f at Tipperary and, though caught close home by Los Angeles, the winner looks very smart. Slurricane ran in two tough Curragh maidens in mid-summer while Ger Lyons' two-year-olds are running into form so Meteor Storm is one to note.
