In depth

Verdict

The Group 2 winner Al Qareem is the highest rated but hasn’t raced since March and will find today’s trip on the short side. BLUESTOCKING is clear of the rest on these terms and has the strongest form after good efforts in the Yorkshire Oaks and a second on soft going in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh before that. L'Astronome is a Group 2 winner in France but debuts for Hugo Palmer’s yard while Modaara will need to step up on her fifth in a Group 3 at Haydock and Sea Of Roses also has a bit to find with the likely favourite. Alba Longa and Empress Wu face tough tasks at the weights.
