held up in 3rd, ridden to go 2nd and edged left 1 1/2f out, wandered under pressure, no impression on easy winner final furlong
tracked leader, 2nd halfway, progress to lead over 2f out, stayed on well to draw clear inside final furlong, easily
led, ridden and headed over 2f out, no impression and bumped by rival 1 1/2f out, no extra, eased inside final furlong
The first running of this but a very disappointing turnout, though by no means easy to predict. RADANPOUR made a successful debut over 1m1f at the Curragh where he had Jacobean two lengths behind. This is a much longer trip and both should be suited though the winner has more scope and he's taken to confirm the form. King Christophe is taking a step up in grade after beating two rivals in a Limerick handicap, though at least we know he'll stay the trip and handle the ground so he's no forlorn hope.
