Great Blasket didn't reappear until last month when landing a 7f handicap here then completed a double with a hard-fought victory over Rock Etoile over this trip at Killarney. He'll be no worse off with the runner-up so should confirm the form. Lady Arwen has only won over 7f, as she did at Limerick in June, but she looked ready for this trip when staying on at Leopardstown. Brewel Hill won over a longer trip here last summer but had no problems dropping down at the Curragh last month and, though 6lb higher, his rider's claim takes care of half of the extra. PORTREATH has been fading over slightly longer trips after showing very good pace and his close second to the in-form Fratas at Ballinrobe would see him very difficult to beat.
