In depth

Verdict

Shu Lewis won her first three starts in bumpers and had a couple of runs under Flat rules in mid-summer before an excellent run in the Irish St Leger. She was a 100/1 chance that day but was less than five lengths behind the winner and had a couple of very useful rivals behind. Although that was probably a falsely-run race she is difficult to ignore here though the trip is on the short side. Exact has been disappointing to date but a step up in trip may produce a better performance though JACK DADDY looks the one to be on. He made a really promising debut over this trip at Leopardstown before returning there with a fine effort behind Katiola where he battled on stoutly. Further progress appears likely and this should be his day.
