In depth

Verdict

Quote Of The Day has a different level of form to these rivals having easily won a maiden at Navan as a juvenile and competed at Listed level subsequently. However, there has to be a reason for his drop into claiming company and he hasn't been seen since finishing last of five at the Curragh in May. Strait Of Zanzibar is another with strong form in his first season but he's been very disappointing this campaign. SPIRITUALITY has been running well at Dundalk and his overall form is progressive. He'll need to find a bit more on official ratings but comes up against rivals with question marks and is handed the vote. Lord Jim won a handicap at Bellewstown on heavy ground in July but has run well in similar conditions to those he will find here and looks a threat along with Dream Scape, the only C&D winner in the line-up, and the lightly-raced Empresario, who has more scope than most.
