UNCLE JUNIOR is no stable star but he's undoubtedly the pick of these on form over fences and it's unlikely that one of the chasing newcomers will have his measure. He has undoubtedly been disappointing to date having been beaten when a short-priced favourite on four of his six starts over the bigger obstacles but the opposition he has faced has been much stronger than this. El Fontan was a progressive hurdler who hasn't quite got his act together over fences but he did better behind Tawaagg here last time and should improve further. Definitive Edge was placed in Grade 3 company over timber and, though he's another who has found the transition not to his liking, should be up to running well in this company. Moville made a reasonable start over fences at Thurles but disappointed at Down Royal subsequently so the biggest danger may prove to be Browns Baily, who looked a useful recruit to chasing in 2009 but has had very little racing since.
