Verdict

Old-timer Whyso Mayo continues to confound Father Time and gained yet another victory between the flags at Bandon on Sunday. He had earlier landed a similar class event to this at Thurles but runner-up BOXER GEORG may have his measure this time as he came from a long way back and this should prove more of a test. Top Twig was a beaten favourite that day but had every chance and his jumping left something to be desired. Enda Bolger has a nice prospect in the five-year-old Mount Sion, the mount of Nina Carberry, and he can go well despite the lack of experience in this company. Preists Leap looks the biggest threat as he will have needed the run at Tralee points at the end of January, his first since coming home 14th and last in the Grand National, and has some solid form at this sort of level.
