Lightning Amber took advantage of heavy ground to win an apprentice race at Leopardstown with Leagan Gaelige in third and Spruce Meadows a close up in fourth. The latter didn't get the clearest of runs that day and can reverse the form. Collaborating made a successful debut over the course and distance in June but hasn't made the expected progress while Gee Rex has been beaten three times since landing a Curragh handicap in June, though was unlucky in-running back there last month. His stable companion ZOOM ZOOM BABE (NAP) was also impeded at a crucial stage at Leopardstown and wasn't beaten far behind another stablemate so gets the nod racing from the same mark with his rider's claim a major plus.
