Summerghand will appreciate the drop back down in class having won this from the same draw last year. He’d gone close in the Wokingham at Ascot before that and FRESH (NAP) was beaten only a neck in this year’s renewal of the latter contest with Chiefofchiefs back in fourth. James Fanshawe’s progressive sprinter has improved for the fitting of a tongue-tie and there’s more to come. Chil Chil found life tough in the July Cup at Newmarket but beat Great Ambassador at the same track earlier while Commanche Falls and Ejtilaab are others on the upgrade, though the latter has switched yards since winning at Newcastle. Hurricane Ivor has been in good form over the minimum trip and Motagally is another with more come over this distance while Bielsa may prove best of Kevin Ryan’s four representatives.
