Verdict

Alfresco won this last year under Kieren Fallon and the combination are no forlorn hopes despite poor recent form on Polytrack from just 2lb higher. SOAP WARS had won three times on Polytrack in Ireland but showed little in the UK last year. He had moved to a new yard when storming clear of today's rival Stevie Gee at Windsor last week where the previously in-form Silver Wind and the short-priced Mymumsaysimthebest were left struggling. A 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another success as he looks capable of scoring in better class than this. All of Qadar's seven career victories have been on the all-weather and he's had 29 starts on turf without managing a victory. Even Bolder is reasonably consistent which is why the handicapper is unable to drop him to a winning mark.
